Sunday, October 1st, 2023 at 2:30pm at St. Mark’s

Great Music for Young Ears, an outreach of the String Academy of the Southwest, under the direction of Priscilla Hallberg, is proud to present A Family Concert of Medieval & Renaissance Vocal Music on Saturday, October 1, 2023, at 2:30pm at St. Mark’s, followed by an Ice Cream Social with the Musicians in the Garden at 3:15 p.m. This is the first concert in a six concert series that Great Music for Young Ears will present at St. Mark’s throughout the coming year.  Each 45 minute concert is free of charge, and designed to introduce children, families, and listeners of all ages to great classical music from a different historical period.  Director Priscilla Hallberg has designed a series of video lessons to accompany each concert, which she is also making available free of charge. Children and their families are encouraged to view the video lessons on Medieval Music (also available in Spanish here) and Renaissance Music (also available in Spanish here) in conjunction with (as preparation for and/or a follow up to) attending the October 1st concert.
